用最简单的中文理解就是:顺其自然,感觉在聊天。也就是说,核心词是:自然(Justletnaturethakeitscourse)!其实,想想平时聊天说话的时候,我们也会偶尔犹豫一下,也会偶尔重复使用某个词儿,也会偶尔自我更新一下发音,但这都是基于一种顺其自然的、甚至是一种本能的自我调整。所以,基于这种判断,在进考场之前,请你们不断给自己一个心理暗示:“我又不是上法庭答辩,又不是开记者招待会,我来不就是跟你这个破老外聊聊天嘛!任何一个正常的人都会说错话,都会用错字眼,都会重复使用某些词,但这完全不代表我们的口头表达能力有问题。

用最简单的中文理解就是:用词到位,解释清楚。在这里,我想说的一点是:请你不要把口语当成写作,请你不要写作用的大词搬到口语中来,这是很要命的。说话是否有魅力不在于你是否使用了什么“之乎者也”的大词,而在于你是否清晰地呈献出你想表达的思维逻辑。不光是英文,中文也是如此,请你想想为什么郎咸平教授的演讲那么有魅力那么受观众的青睐,他从来不说什么高深的、“xx主义”之类的理论,却又能用很简单的语言去很好地表达了那些理论所蕴含的内在逻辑,就连七八十岁的老太太都听得懂他说的是什么。这话扯远了,我想说的是,请你不要首先着急背什么词汇,用什么句型。这不是写作,这是口语!关键是“先有观点,再有词汇”,然后顺着“复杂中文>简单中文>简单英文>复杂英文”的思路来组织语言。单词固然重要,但它绝对不能妨碍我们的思考和表达,更加不能为了用某个词而让我们的观点妥协了。在下文我会一个一个topic的分析,究竟我们需要什么样的词汇,怎么铺排这些词汇

用最简单的中文理解就是:句式结构多样性和允许语法错误。请注意,这里的句式结构多样性没有写作的那样复杂。本人觉得在句子结构多样性方面,你可以着重从并列句,转折句,定语从句,状语从句(地点状语从句,时间状语从句),宾语从句,虚拟语气(特别是“ifIwas/were.。。,Iwould.。。”和“without.。。,Iwould”),表语从句(例如:thereasonbehindthissituationisthat.。。。),被动语态等方面努力。请你尽量少用、甚至不要用强调句,主语从句,同位语从句等句型,因为这些句式太容易导致自己思维错乱和表达不清。其实说实在地,在悉尼大学上了三年的课,也没见多少教授喜欢运用复杂句型来讲课。简单句(主语+谓语+宾语)永远都应该是口语的主角。至于常见的语法无非就是如下三种:没有区分名词单复数,没有注意动词单复数和时态,错用he和she.只要克服这三个最基本也是最最最主要的语法错误,老外就会默认你没有语法错误了。

说到发音,这就是我的绝对弱项。你说发音很重要吧,它确实很重要,能有一口纯真的英音或者美音能给考官特别好的印象。但是,发音,说实话,也不是那么样的重要。但这并不妨碍获得7分甚至更高。我的朋友Peter发音也不算太好,但是他照样拿9分。其实我觉得剑桥雅思在这面还是挺体贴世界各地的考生的,它比较理解各地的考生由于方言的影响而无法达到nativespeaker的水平。发音不好并不代表意思表达差,有方言口音并不妨碍交流对话的进行。当然,我并是说发音真的不需要注意。但是我想说的是,与其花大力气去做一些低产出的事情,还不如集中力量考虑口语的答题模式改善发音的方法有很多,而且是见仁见智,唯一肯定的是,它需要长时间的模仿和训练。

我本人比较推介的方法是:买或者下载《李阳标准美音》(这个系列比较好,因为MP3里面详细解释了每个音应该怎么发,用嘴的哪个位置,而且它还配有对应的、典型的单词以及例句,这本身就是很好的口语素材),然后平时泛听并模仿,特别是有针对性地对自己说得比较差的几个音进行重点轰炸。

我朋友George(口语8分)的方法是,每天坚持听BBC新闻广播,然后不断地重复跟读我朋友Jeffrey(口语8.5分)的方法是,每天坚持练英语绕口令半小时,尽可能地把自己的口腔肌肉都训练得非常麻利。

我朋友Peter(口语9分)的方法是,长期观看美剧,听英文歌曲,然后体会其语境并且跟读。

总体来说,当然如果你下周或者一个月之内就要考试的话,我觉得我朋友的那些方法对你来说基本是meaningless.练习发音真的是一个很漫长的过程。而且它的投入和产出不成正比。最可怕的是你学得四不像,这样就更丢人更容易失分了。

最近看到烤鸭们的评论说,"雅思口语嘛,就是老老实实背topics吧",这不禁让我想起了四年前的自己,想起那些昏天暗地没完没了的背书日子,想起那些一脱稿就思绪凌乱、一卡壳就目瞪口呆的经历。是的,我承认,无论学什么语言都要经历“背书学话调整”这样一个或长或短的试错过程(trialanderror)。毕竟,我们都不是生来就会带着一本语法书(Afterall,wearenotbornwithagrammarbook)。但是,是不是把所有topics都准备了,都背熟了,就可以征服雅思口语的呢?从个人的经验来说,这样的做法无法让我们很好地驾驭英语和自由地表达观点,并且只会让自己无时无刻沉溺于那些提前写好的字字句句当中,然后说着说着,言语就变得僵化,答题就变得死板,甚至说一些牛头不对马嘴(horses"jawsdon"tmatchcows"heads)的话来。那岂不很矛盾吗?一边又说要准备topics,熟记topics,一边又说要临场发挥,自由表达。是的,正是因为这样,我们就需要有一个系统的口语复习过程,背topics只是这个过程里最不起作用的一个环节。

本人也曾经经历过这么一个过程:背别人的答案(成绩一直徘徊在5~6分)>背自己的答案(成绩稳定在6分却不能再突破)>说自己的故事(一下子跨过了7分的门槛)。从背稿到聊天,其实是一个质变的过程。决定这个过程的快慢不在于我们背诵topics的多少,而且在于我们自己思维逻辑的转变。何谓思维逻辑的转变?

首先,我们得先熟悉雅思口语的三个部分要求是什么。

PART1:这个阶段主要是一个让考生热身(warm-up),让考官初步了解考生(gainfirstimpressionfromcandidates)的过程。这个部分的核心词是:

description.考官想测试你一下对客观事物的英文描述能力,也就是说(thatistosay),考官问的绝大数问题都是你的所见所闻,你要做的就是一五一十地罗列和陈述。简单来说,这部分的重点就是“说说家常,聊聊生活”。

PART2:这个阶段开始处于一个过渡阶段,核心词是:description+explanation.卡片的设计都是从what,who,where,when过渡到how&why.很多烤鸭包括很多中国老师都认为,在这个section里面最为重要的就是回答卡片的最后一个问题,也就是explain.按照他们的逻辑,假如只顾着回答前面的what,who,when,where的问题而没来及说how&why,分数必定被拉低。事实是这样吗?实践是检验真理的唯一标准(practiceisthesolecriterionfortestingtruth)。我最近考的三次(201*年2月12日,2月26日,3月5日)在回答Part2卡片题的时候都没来得及或者没答完最后那个问题就被考官打住了;但这不妨碍我拿到7分以上。所以我总结得出,重点不是你是否机械般地把题目回答完,而是你是否把所有的问题整合一个属于你的故事,整理出一个很清晰的脉络。简单来说,这部分的重点是“说说故事,聊聊感想”。

PART3:这个阶段已经过渡到需要你的explanation了。这个部分毫无疑问是抢分的黄金机会,也是露家底的时候。如果说,part2topics还能事先准备的话,那么这部分的问题大部分都是即兴的,互动的,弹性的。要把这部分的题目提前准备,几乎不可能,或者说是,大海捞针(justlikelookingforaneedleinahaystack),事倍功半(gethalftheresultswithtwicetheeffort)。这里的重点是解释说明。通常解释说明分为:举例子说明(useanexampletoillustrate),分析前因后果(interpretthecauseandeffect)和纵向横向比较(compareinverticaland/orhozontialdirection)。点不需要多,但一定要深入,合理,有逻辑。所以我认为这部分的重点是“说说道理,聊聊影响”。更多资讯

4.多数考官根本不会看你,而是低头看自己的笔记(让考官面对考生笑一天还不累死他/她?)。5.你自己愿意低头看着笔记讲还是抬头看着考官讲都无所谓。PART1

2.尽量回答考官提问,而不是回避没有准备的问题。3.请避免小的语法错误,如:

1.太急于抄题,而忽略了思考。考官多数会允许你看着题目讲,即使不允许,你首先可以要求再看

一眼,其次:思考比抄写重要得多。解决办法:请尽量在平时练习中脱稿。

2.观点不足,有的同学40秒结束战斗。请记住:被打断比时间不够要强得多得多。解决知道:自己

编写一些题目练习,可以和PARTNER互相出题给对方。

3.不敢多说。有的同学英语比较好,但是说完PROMPTS就结束了。而想要得到最高级别的分数,

能否给出更多观点就是一个评价尺度。

4.中式英语。只有1%的同学能够完全引用听力磁带中的几个句子,10%的同学能够完整引用老师上

课和书上的句子,其余的同学全部用自己的英文表达。解决办法:你能背诵至少100句原句吗?50句?背诵,然后用一模一样的句子表达出来,就是高分!

5.发音问题,例如:presentation,presenttheproducts,morale,think,不模仿磁带就不是学英文。

提问部分:

1.提问的水平是决定是否给你1等的关键,如果你说Whichfactorwillyougivemoreweightto?或者Doyou

giveequalweighttothesetwofactors?英语好人尽量要问出有质量的问题。2.考官问:Whowillstartthetalkfirst?你可以说:Iwill.或者说Iwillgo.

3.考官问:Whichtopichaveyouchosen?你可以说:IhavechosenB.然后直接开始陈述,不要再等考官问你

a)听对方说出一个完整的意思就可以不听了,如对方说:Whenweofferincentivestostaff,weshould

b)你可以在纸上记录incentives,current,performance,然后利用任何一个单词造个句子:i.Personally,doyouworkhardforincentives?ii.Willyoualsoconsiderpastperformance?iii.Howdoyoumeasuretheirperformances?iv.如果你实在没有听懂对方说什么,请你不要只是问:Whichfactorwillyougivemoreweightto?而

1.审题不细致,看了一个自己熟悉的小点就拼命说,而忽略了整个题目,审查题目最重要。2.过分追求把观点记录下来,忽略了交流和思考。很多观点是一边讨论一边想出来的。3.不要卑鄙地念一遍题目,然后问对方:Doyouhaveanyideas?应该是自己有观点,问对方:Whatdoyouthink

then?

如何练习(以1小时为例)

1.请用10分钟模仿听力磁带,听一句,暂停模仿一句。2.10分钟对自己讲话(尽量用书上的表达方式),例如:听力磁带当中有这样一段:Actuallyit’sabitheavyfor

me.Idon’treallyeatmeat.Giventhechoice,I’dprefersalads.那么你可以根据这段变成自己的话:NowIhavetwoAmericanvisitors.Iwouldaskthemwhatfoodtheyprefer,becausemanyforeignersfindChinesefoodveryheavy.Theymayprefersaladssometimes.3.背诵原句,向着100句的方向努力吧。

英语口语学习及心得

据说,新东方建议按照题量从多到少安排答题先后顺序,安排如下表:

题号一二三四五合计题量756151245题做题顺序三五四一二时间9.18-9.269.38-9.539.26-9.389.00-9.109.10-9.18Min8151210853min至少安排5分钟涂答题卡。按惯例,答题从易到难,以上安排也正符合这一思路。第四部分还是考词汇,对词汇意思、用法的把握要很到位才能做对;

第五部分相对较为简单,有三到四个填CORRECT,但至少有三个是正确,这一部分主要注意多余的连词、冠词、动词的常用介词搭配、主谓一致等等,特别喜欢将错误出在上下两行,所以要以全句为单位,还有就是从全文来看,前后意思要一致;

第一部分,一般找近义词是解题关键,我感觉这次考试的这一部分有难度,一直找不到相对应的内容,相当隐蔽,有两题不太确定;

第三部分,常见的阅读理解题,这种题型是我们最为熟悉的。其特点是文章和题目顺序是一样的,所以可以看一题做一题,但要真正理解把握作者的思路,解读写作目的,还是有难度;

第二部分,特别注意连词,连词直接反映作者的思路,是转折,递进还是补充说明,都可以从连词中看出;还有要注意代词,搞清楚代词所指代的人或物,代词前后指代要一致。

(2)writing

写作关键是格式要正确,措词、语气要正确。措词、语气是取决于写的人和读的人关系,是上级?下级?同级?还是写给全体员工,这点是重中之重!

做试题时,就要总结出自己写作所要花的时间,如果时间较紧,就不能打草稿,需直接写在答题纸上。这回考试同个考场上一位女生就因来不及将写作部分完成而放弃后面的考试。

写作的第一部分最多只能花十五分钟,而且切记前紧后松,因为第二部分占写作大部分的分数,要给第二部分充足的时间,以免时间紧迫而无法完成。

写完后读一编,改正错误,如拼写,标点等等,还有特别注意:就是我们要编造情节、理由,所以还要检查所编造的是否符合逻辑。这次我考试只将第一部分看了一篇,改了个小错误,没时间看第二部分。(3)listening

听力听力部分40分钟,每部分都是听两篇。其的最大特点就是陷阱多,一般是前面先讲些不是干扰内容,而且还特别清晰,到最后才给出关键的词或词组,因此会给人错觉,好像自己听懂了好多,可最后不一定能选上正确答案。所以平时要加强训练,排除干扰信息。听录音时应利用空隙看看题目要求,明白题目的目的。第一部分,相对而言简单,但也不容易,要特别注意有没有复数形式,单词拼写要正确,该用连字符的也要用上。听第二编时注意核对。

第二部分有难度,首先应理解选项的意思,比如有问:录音中说话者所说的对象是什么?选项中有receipt和invoice。如果没分清receipt和invoice,即使听懂了,也选不对。其次在听第一遍的过程中做些记录,可以排除一些干扰项,并确定关键词的位置。第二遍关键听第一遍中确定的关键词,以便核对,做出正确选择。特别重视说话的语气、语调。

第三部分,我认为没有第二部分难,平时做真题最多错2个。问题的顺序同录音的顺序相同。第一遍关键是确定答案的位置,排除干扰选项,可以确定答案的就选上;第二遍有针对性地进行核对,最终确定答案。后面是涂卡,涂卡时间至少保证5分钟。听完之后剩余的时间不是很多,要抓紧时间确定答案,注意涂卡时第一部分的答案要用大写字母,抄写正确。(4)speaking

考口语关键是不要支支吾吾、断断续续,不会说也要说些废话,着边就成,当然也不能离题万里。

第一部分是热身,问考生简单信息,如哪里人,学生还是工作,是学生的话问学习时喜欢什么,然后再问些简单的有关商务方面的问题,好应付。

第二部分是做一个mini-presentation,给三个topics,叫你选一道,就提示的两个要点做一个论述,最好能顺便增加一个要点。除去教师念题目,实际上陈述的时间只有不到五十秒,因此平时要多练习,加快语速,这样才能在短时间内完成任务。值得注意的是,在一方陈述完之后,另一方要针对对方的陈述问对方一个问题,对方马上做答,所以要认真听搭档在说什么话题,都说了些什么。

第三部分一般是两人合作讨论,完成规定内容,这部分主要是两人要“合作”、“共同”完成任务,不是单方面!只有三分钟的时间,切记要包括所有要求的任务!!

口语要过borderline很简单。但要考得好不容易。其难度是不仅要在短时间包括要求的内容,而且要有道理,逻辑正确,发音准确,语音、语调合理,确非易事。所以要多读,多背,多练习,考前找个搭档,最好能保证这个搭档能在考试时一同合作。我是福州考点,这里规定只有同一个考场的考生才能自由搭配。如果没能找到搭档,早晨笔试结束后马上找一个,一起先热身热身,熟悉熟悉,这样会更快进入状态。

~~PART1注意复数那些,训练自己快速写记的能力吧,PART2最主要是心态好,当你觉得你已经听到答案时,不要高兴,埋伏正在后面呢,所以PART2一定要认真地听完全段,边听边思考,的确我承认,这一部分是考试中最难的部分,所以大家要多练这一part啊~~PART3就要注意把握听力的节奏,因为其答案的出现是根据顺序来的,还有就是要训练自己边听边看题的能力,基本上听力开始之前的时间只够你看个题目,化下关键词,真正的题干还是要靠自己在听的是很看,基本上这题同义转换就好了。

口语:

相信口语是很多人的弱项了,大家最好找个Partner,平时大家都练练考试里的PART3互相讨论一个商务话题并且reachasamedecision~~~,我就把蓝色的那本口语书里的话题看了,知道该说什么,然后PART2的individualspeech自己总结一些套话,把真题上的题目都说一遍,如果大家觉得刚开始不会说的话可以大致把想要说的东西写在本子上,然后一句句练习,这样坚持一段时间肯定会有用的。这次估计我的口语还是考得不错的,临走前给我瞄到了分数(3个4.5,1个4,总分5),口语这种东西,跟听力是相连的,听力好了,口语自然会上去的。考试时要注意礼貌和给考官的第一印象哈,基本上口语就这些了。
