Secondly,atpresent,theproblemwearefacingisstructural,andveryacute.Domesticoilsupplyisincreasingfallingbehinddemand.Importsareincreasingeveryyear.Theproportionofnaturalgasinourprimaryenergyconsumptionhasfallenwellbelowtheworldaverage.Thereisverylittlecleanandhighlyefficientenergy.Itdoesnotmeettherequirementsofenergyefficiencyandenvironmentalprotection.What’smore,theenergyindustrystillworkswithoutdatedtechnologyandequipment.Thereismuchroomforimprovementinsafeproductionpractices.Inthenexttenyears,orevenmore,Chineseeconomywillcontinuetogrowatabout7%perannum.Comprehensiveenergyandpowerconsumptionareexpectedtogrowat3%and6%respectively.

Thirdly,asoureconomycontinuestogrow,asstandardsoflivingcontinuetorise,asenvironmentalprotectionimproves,thedemandsforenergydevelopmentarereachinganewlevel.TheChinesegovernmentfacesamajorissue.Thatistoachievesustainableenergydevelopmentandtobalanceenergyproductionandconsumptionwithenvironmentandsociety.Tomeetthedemandforsustainablesocialandeconomicdevelopment,TheChinesegovernmentwillcontinuewithitspolicyofdevelopingenergyandatthesametimesavingit,withthesavingtakingpriority.Wewilltakeadvantageofourrichresources,optimizeourenergystructure,andimproveenergyefficiencyandenvironmentalprotection.Inaddition,duringthetenthfiveyearperiod,Chinawillrelyprimarilyoncoalandwillincreasetheuseofhighqualitycoal.Wewillreformlargescaleminesanddevelophighoutputandhighefficiencymines.Wewilldevelopcoalbedresourcesandincreaseoureffortsintheresearchanddevelopmentofcleancoaltechnology.Wewillworkonoilandgassimultaneously,speedingupourexploitationanduseofnaturalgas,increasingitsuseinourenergyconsumption.Weneedtopayattentiontowindenergy,solarenergy,geothermalenergy,andothernewandrenewableenergysources.Weareaimingtoquadrupletheannualexploitationofnewandrenewableenergysourcesby201*from3milliontonesofstandardcoalto13milliontonesofstandardcoal.Wewillimproveourabilitytosaveenergyandpromoteintegratedapplications.weaimtoreduceourunitconsumptionpertenthousandyuanGDPto2.2tonesofstandardscoalin201*.Thirdly,ChinaandtheEuropeanUnionhaveenjoyed20yearsofgoodrelationsintheenergyarea.Germanyhasworld-classtechnologyinthedevelopmentofnewenergyandenvironmentalprotection.WewelcomeGermanycompaniestoinvestinthedevelopmentandapplicationofenergysources,particularlytheapplicationofnewenergyresourcesinChina.Thereareawholerangeoflargest-scaleprojectssuchastheThreeGorgesPowerStation,WesternGasGoingEastandwesternElectricityGoingEast.TheywillcreatemoreopportunitiesforcooperationintheenergyfieldbetweenchinaandGermany.WewouldliketoworkwithGermany,tostrengthencooperationonthebasisofmanyyearsofjointefforts.Thankyouforlistening.
