作为一名英语专业生,涉足翻译这一领域是不可避免的。已经在大学学习两年了,是时候对翻译这一专业做个系统的了解了。翻译对于英语专业生是一门必学的专业课程,也是需要系统的了解和掌握的,所以在学习过程中去了解翻译实践与理论,实现理论与实践的统一也很有必要。初步对翻译这一英语专业的分支做一个系统的认识。涉猎相关翻译技巧和方法,阅读相关书籍,开阔自己的知识面。同时,将大一大二所学的理论知识与平时的实践运用到这次实习中,以便对自己的知识框架做个整理,同时总结实践中自己知识方面的欠缺和问题,最后要对症下药,找到解决问题的方法。这样,为接下来大三的学习做一个铺垫,更好的学习接下来一年的专业知识。
三.实习内容
在导师的安排下,我们这次翻译实习的任务是:在这个暑假,在西方各大主流媒体中的任意媒体中(如纽约时报,泰晤士报等等)找到任意一篇英文的新闻或是其他题材的作品,将其译成中文,中译英的要求是最好选取家乡的某一景点或是特产什么的进行介绍,将其翻译成英文。要求字数为1000字左右。同时,撰写3000字左右的实习报告

我于8月1日开始我的暑假翻译实习任务。首先,在网上搜索到符合导师要求的材料,将其拷贝到我的存储卡中待用。我英译中的材料是关于奥巴马和罗姆尼竞选活动的材料,中译英的题目为《语言学家称汉语可能阻碍创造力的发展》,是关于某个名家对汉语的一些评
第1页共5页价。在将他们翻译之前,上网查找相关资料,查找书籍,了解相关的技巧。如在英译中时,那些地方要注意直译,而哪些地方又要注意英译,翻译的顺序等等;在中译英时,冠词,定冠词,不定冠词的具体用法,专业词汇的了解,短语,同义词的辨析和用法词的转换,词的代替,词义的选择等等,还有对习语的了解。待一切准备好后,接下来,我就开始了我的翻译实习了。
我的计划是先进行英语译成中文的翻译,然后再完成中文译成英文的的翻译。因为对我而言,英文译成中文对我来说较简单一些。于是,我给自己安排的英译中的时间较英译中的时间少。从初中到大学,课本上的课文都是英文的,所以在上课的过程中也渐渐熟悉了怎样去进行英译中的翻译,对于常见的翻译常识了解一点点。于是,8月2号我开始把拷来的材料进行翻译了。首先是英文译成中文的,一句一句看过来,整理好句子的语序,用到各种语法知识,定语的后置,定语从句,同位语从句,状语从句,独立主格结构,非谓语动词,倒装等,查阅相关资料及专业词汇,进行翻译。像在我的翻译材料中有一些很专业的词汇,TeaPartymovement,superPAC等等。这样的词汇我就借助网络来翻译。还有一些结构比较复杂的句子,如HiscommentsaboutthemandatebeingataxcameonanotherwiseslowFourthofJuly,ensuringthattheydominatedthenewscycle,albeitonethatfewerpeoplethanusualwerepayingattentionto.又如,Mr.Romney’sremarksprovedadistractionfromwhatshouldhavebeenadayofpatrioticphoto-opsashevacationedinNewHampshire.HeappearedintheannualFourthofJulyparadehere,energeticallyworkingthecrowds.“Terrifictoseeyou!”hesaid,beamingashestretchedhishandsouttowardtheonlookers,sometimesshakingwithbothhands.“Hey,howareyou?HappyFourthofJuly!”我会一个一个将句子主干理清,先把最主要的信息整理出来,在将一些修饰语之类的在插入进去,这样,一个句子才算基本翻译完整。有些自己很难翻译出来的句子我也会借助网络翻译出来,对于实在不能理解翻译出来的句子先将
第2页共5页其留在那里,用一张纸条整理出来,等待进一步的思考,这样可以继续翻译后面的内容,等到将全部的内容大致翻译完成,再从头来过,系统整理一遍。对于之前觉得译的不够满意的地方在思考斟酌,最后在确定最终的翻译结果。然后是中文译成英文的翻译了,中文译成中文似乎会晦涩一点,像一些成语,谚语,名句的翻译处理起来会有点棘手,所以花的时间会多一点。把中文译成英文时要整体把握句子的结构,不能脱节,对于细节的处理比较重要,当然还有词语和短语的选择。翻译在于信,达,雅。在中译英时,我会仔细考虑单词的选择。尽量做到精准。还有就是尽量避免中式英语的出现,用英语思维翻译句子。中式的思维对于向我们这样的中国学生还是存在一定影响的。在之前看了一点一位老师介绍的中式英语之鉴,了解了一点点外国人对我们翻译的看法和意见。材料中有些句子比较难翻译,不是很好把握。在之前。了解到翻译要注重地道的表达,这才能叫专业。因此,在翻译过程中,我也借助了网络,多方向的思考,尽量使用高级一点的词语来表达出意思。对于中译英,我是一整句一整句看下来,先对每个句子整个把握,然后在构思如何去将它们通顺,简单而又不失原意的翻译出来。
六.实习体会和感想
这次实习是第一次专业实习,在这之前没有真正的进行过专业实习。在这次翻译中自己学到了一些东西,取得了一点点的翻译成绩,虽然不是很专业。但起码,这次,真真正正的进行了一次翻译。在实习过程中了解了翻译到底该如何去完成。努力地去思考,去查东西,可以把一篇文章还比较通顺的翻译出来,体会了翻译的乐趣。看到自己翻译的东西,虽然不是十全十美,但是还是会有一点成就感的。之前对于翻译这一专业的了解也不是很深。只知道翻译是把一种语言表达出来的文字转换成另一种语言表达出来的文字。对于翻译的一些理论,技巧,原则等等都不够了解。现在我认识到翻译要的不仅仅是知识的掌握,还有一门重要的因素:那就是感情。自己在翻译时,要全身心的投入,反复的思考。翻译最基本的是词汇量,其次是语法,还
第3页共5页有对文化背景的了解。对于单词的应用也很重要,在进行翻译时,单词,句子的意思要灵活处理,一个单词会有很多种意思,如何去选择能真正传达出原文意思的意义就显得很重要。有时还要对词义进行稍微的转变,不能生硬的翻译,这样翻译出来的句子会扭曲原文的意思,既不能真确表达原文的意思,又会让人觉得哭笑不得,这样的翻译也就算不上翻译了。还有代词的用法,代词虽然简单,但它的用法却多种多样,放在句中不同的位置有不同的用法,指示代词,人称代词,等等。在单词意思弄清楚后,便是语序的调整,这时各种语法知识便派上用场了。英语和汉语不同,它讲究的是逻辑,句子也是一层又一层的,所以必须先理清楚句子的主干。在这次翻译中出现比较多的专业词汇,像英译中的那篇,里面涉及的政治性专业词汇,还有美国的政治文化等等方面。这时,发现词汇的积累实在不够,尤其是专业词汇量。第二篇是关于语言方面的翻译,“之所以能起到这样的作用,是因为字母系统驱使学习者去做以下两件事情”,这个句子就要考虑到句子的语序问题。我在翻译过程中遇到了比较难处理的句子,缺乏相应的处理技巧,所以在翻译过程中有些句子的翻译会比较别扭,看上去不是那么的地道准确。再者是介词的用法,作定语,或是作其他什么,语篇的连贯性和衔接,在翻译时,虽然我是把句子翻译出来了,但有些地方的衔接还有待进一步的思考。有些句子看上去意思是懂,但是,用语言表达出来却不知如何把它很好的说出来,让其看上去既通顺,又能很好地表达出意思。
经过这次翻译,意识到了自己在翻译中需要加强的是哪些方面。首先是词汇量的问题,还有一些翻译技巧的使用。在接下来的这个学期,会开设翻译理论与实践这门课程,我想这就是真正走进翻译世界的大门吧!真正的去掌握翻译这门深奥的课程,在翻译世界里徜徉。认真的学习翻译理论,然后将其运用到平时的练习当中,活学活用。在学习课本知识的同时,扩大词汇量,广泛阅读,大量阅读英文原著和杂志,报纸等,扩大自己的知识面,了解欧美文化,文学等,在此基础上大量练习,反复实践,多看多练自己的提高翻译水平。

态环境的重要屏障,其环境的优劣直接决定了我国总体环境状况。因此,该地区灾后重建要在经济条件相对较差的基础上注重防灾减灾安全性,还要注重对自然生态环境的保护。课题组作为志愿者团队,在北京地球村环境文化中心的倡导和组织下,对四川省彭州市通济镇大坪村开展了地震灾区乡村民居可持续性发展研究,进行了灾后重建的方案创作,并应用于第一期44户示范工程建设。2.四川大坪村受灾情况大坪村隶属于四川省彭州市通济镇,位于成都西北约70公里处(东经103°49′,北纬30°9′)的大坪山上,海拔高度约1400米,与龙门山隔白水河沟相望,直线距离汶川县城不足30公里。512大地震中,大坪村遭受严重创伤,道路中断,桥梁破坏,新建砖混结构房屋全部倒塌,传统的木结构房屋亦破坏严重,无法继续使用,村民生产、生活活动几乎无法进行[2](如图1)。3.大坪村经济状况大坪村所处自然环境优美,但是由于受地理条件、观念等等的限制,当地经济发展相对缓慢。主要原因在于:1)交通不便大坪村海拔1400米,当地村民生活在崇山峻岭之中,平地少,山地多,出行交通极其不便,基本以步代车,徒步约6km的崎岖山路。5.12地震后,这里的山路受到了严重的破坏。2)收入渠道单一当地村民种植的农作物主要有玉米、土豆、洋姜,而这些作物所带来的收入仅够平日开销。村民的经济收入主要是靠种植黄莲获得。地震发生后,黄连受严重破坏,该部分经济收入被切断。除此外,当地部分年轻劳动力农闲时外出打工贴补家用,地震后都回来重建家园。因此,收入比之前更低。据统计,44户村民年收入在3000元以下的占到7%;3000元-5000元的占到16%,5000元-7000元的占到27%,7000元-10000元的占到23%,10000元以上的占到27%,(如图2)。3)旅游业发展受制约大坪村自然环境优美,适宜于大力发展旅图2当地村民每户年均收入状况游业以增加当地村民收入。但限于当地基础设施落后、交通不便、启动资金不足等,很大程度上制约了当地旅游经济的发展。4)新建住宅经济投入灾后重建中,在当地政府、北京地球村环境文化中心和中国红十字基金会大力的经济支持下进行。政府根据人口与建房规模每户资助1.6或1.9万元不等,中国红十字基金会按人口计算,每人资助4850元。据调查了解,在新建的44户中,一口之家有1户;二口之家有9户,三口之家有22
