高职高专教育培养的是技术应用型人才,学校为了培养我们学生的创新精神和实践能力,提高我们的综合素质。故进行为期一周的实训,在实训中互相学习和进步。在校期间,一直忙于理论知识的学习,没能有机会走出校园,真正切身感受本专业的实际应用。-

一.实训目的:了解英语在社会和实际工作中的应用,丰富已经学过的专业课内容,培养学生理论联系实际的能力,提高在语言应用中分析及解决问题的实际能力,了解专业知识并掌握这些知识。-

二、实训要求-

1、实训期间,严格遵守作息时间,请假须经指导老师批准。-

2、自觉维护好课堂纪律。-

3、自觉完成实训项目。-

三、实训内容-

(一)模拟招聘会-

1、在看完有关招聘视频后,进行招聘模拟。在面试过程中,面对考官的各种提问,一些关于专业的知识时,觉得自己的硬件掌握不到位。有时会有一些考验自己反应程度、灵敏度的问题,这时要靠自己平时积累的素养。自己的简历及面试表现给自己提出了很多可实施性建议,如,简历的排版、内容,自己的性格缺点、较好的职业倾向等等。-

2.熊老师给我们讲解了有关招聘方面的知识。步入社会时才能从容不迫,在求职者中脱颖而出!面对竞聘的滚滚硝烟和层出不穷的招聘方式,要想笑傲职场,就要未雨绸缪、赢在起点。-

(二)商务礼仪-

1、在听完Erick的讲述,我们了解了商务活动礼仪,规范树立企业良好形象塑造员工职业素质(观念、态度、能力)运用有效的沟通技巧处理商务活动中的人际关系改善服务形象提高服务能力,掌握基本的商务礼仪及正确的商务礼仪技职业形象决定职业生涯,职业形象决定人生命运。随着人们日常交际的频繁,在商务活动、公务活动、社交活动中越来越重视交往的细节,也许一个微小的细节决定了一个人的第一印象。如何提高自己在别人心目中的地位,如何通过你完美的职业形象使你拥有成功的事业和幸福的人生。了解掌握商务礼仪是非常重要的。-

2.Erick与我们进行互动游戏,角色扮演,在生活中不同的位置,树立正确的职业意识,塑造完美的职业形象,在提高个人职业形象的基础上完善公司的商务形象。掌握并正确运用职场常用礼仪,纠正不良习惯;掌握商务沟通中的行为礼仪。-

(三)国际贸易流模拟-

1、在这次实训中我们要做以下几个外贸方面的单证:合同.装箱单.发票.保险单.还盘等。-

2、在做进出口业务时这几种外贸单证是最常见的,也是必不可少的。交易双方往往都要以这些单证来确定交易的事宜。虽然说这几个单证的制作不是很复杂,但是通过在实训时,你可以发现这些对人的专业和办事的仔细程度是有很大的要求的。-

3、在这整个实训过程中我们制作和填写了商业发票,装箱单以及合同,合同中的条款和内容必需是一致的,为了防止错列.漏列等问题。在填写这些时要特别细心,注意日期是否正确。在做单时是不允许有任何差错的。从本次实训的整个过程中,我看到了,也深深体会到了做进出口业务的严谨。这次实训大大加强了实际操作能力,加强了走向社会,了解各行各业的发展状况,了解本行业的发展方向。鼓励学生为社会企业服务,煅炼并提高学生的实际能力。根据商务英语这个专业的特点,采用各种方式,向学生们介绍世界及国内外贸市场的发展状况,介绍外贸企业在市场中竞争而发展的经验。使学生们在步入社会之前就了解社会,知道竞争之激烈,创业之艰辛,从而进一步提高在校期间学习的自主性。-

4、在模拟中对不同的业务和角色我们采用不同的贸易术语和方式,我们可以掌握不同价格术语在海运、保险方面的差异。在询盘、发盘、还盘、接受环节的磋商过程中,灵活运用价格术语和结算方式,正确核算成本、费用和利润,以争取较好的成交价格,是我们在未来贸易实务中必不可少的基本功。通过本次实训,我们可以发现以前学习中的薄弱环节,为今后的学习指明了方向。模拟训练要求操作细节的细腻及流程的缜密,各个流程相互衔接,此流程的疏忽将会导致流程无法完成,某一细节的不慎错误或纰漏将会导致整个流程操作前功尽弃,这为未来的实际工作敲响了警钟:做贸易一定要仔细谨慎。-

5、出口商是最为重要的角色,在扮演出口商的角色的过程中,经过准备、磋商、签约、履约、善后几个流程。准备阶段,及时了解市场行情,并同工厂和进口商建立广泛而牢固的业务关系是非常重要的。磋商阶段,根据成本、税的情况准确计算成本和报价,是至关重要的,通过询盘、发盘、还盘、接受四个环节,就交易条件达成一致,更是体现我们业务能力的地方。在交易过程中市场是变化的,作为出口商需不断核算成本、费用和利润,才能获取最佳交易条件和价格。进口商的利润来自于对产品的销售,及时掌握市场信息,寻找交易产品和对象,同进口商建立业务关系,为进口做好准备至关重要。进口商及时了解市场信息,及时查询产品销售价格,不断核算成本、费用和利润,同时选择合适的交易方式签订合约关系到进口商的利益。-

6.国际货运风险和保险,应该如何降低风险和减少损失。进口商要在市场上及时将货物销售出去,方可实现利润最大化。出口地银行和进口地银行从事的业务主要是信用证业务、单证业务、贷款业务,一笔国际业务的顺利完成是离不开银行的,尤其是以信用证结汇的贸易,有了银行的信用担保可以确保进出口方的利益的顺利实现。-

(四)商务英语翻译:在徐老师的帮助下,针对具体翻译过程,了解其从开始到结束的每一环节,学生应注重了解掌握那些教材以外的实践经验和实际翻译技巧。使用增译法、省译法、转换法、拆句法、合并法、正译法、反译法、倒置法、包孕法、插入法、重组法和综合法等翻译技巧.让我能够在如此短的时间内思想和能力上得到了如此大的提高。-

四、实训总结:“纸上得来终觉浅,绝知此事要躬行!”在一周的实训过程中,我深深的感觉到自己在实际运用中的专业知识的匮乏。刚开始的时侯,对一些项目感到无从下手,茫然不知所措,这让我感到非常的难过。但经过一周的实训,已经有很大的提高。“千里之行,始于足下”,这是一个短暂而又充实的实训。我认为对我走向社会起到了一个桥梁的作用,过渡的作用,是人生的一段重要的经历,也是一个重要步骤,对将来走上工作岗位也有着很大帮助。突然想起鲁迅先生的一句话:这里本来没有路,只是走的人多了,也便成了路。

实训说明

本次实训为201*年商务英语专业综合实训校内实训项目,是根据商务英语专业人才培养方案制定的,旨在使学生更进一步了解商务英语各种文体的语言特点,以及商务英语翻译的常用翻译技巧,培养学生进行商务英语翻译的基本能力。

项目一:名片的制作与翻译,职务的翻译

2、能力目标:能够正确制作名片并进行名片的英汉互译;能够熟练地进行职务的英汉互译实训内容

PartOneMainPoints

在商务活动中,交换名片是一项很流行,也很重要的活动。在对外交流中,将自己的名片印上英文是很有必要的。这就要求名片上的英文写法要规范,顺序符合英语规则。

一般的名片上的信息可分为七个部分:

(1)关于地名的写法,一般遵循从小地名到大地名的写法。一般顺序为:室号门牌号街道名城市名省(洲)--国家

Room**No.*****Road(Street),***City****Province******(邮编)*****(country)

(2)地址在名片上,应该保持一定的完整性。门牌号与街道名不可分开写,必须在同一行,不可断行。名种名称不可断开。

(3)门牌号英美写法可有不同,英语写No.26美语可写26#

(4)汉语的人名,地名一般写汉语拼音。有些译法可以不同:如中山东路,可以译为ZhongshanEastRoad,也可译为ZhongshanDongluRoad,但象一些地名,如南天门,槐南路,就应该直写拼音,而不能将其中某个字译为英语。即:Nantianmeng,HuainanRoad而不是SouthTianmeng,HuaiSouthRoad.

名片翻译

一.公司名称翻译近几年来,针对我国公司名称翻译中出现的一些问题,不少有识之士相继著文,辨是非、析原因、探正译,为实现译名的规范化和增强译名的可读性做了大量富有成效的工作。不过,笔者在研读有关文献时也发现,部分文献在对某些问题的看法上仍有偏颇甚至错误的地方,有再商榷并加以澄清的必要。(一)、以偏概全的问题

“公司”并非“不是company,就是corporation”《企业名称的翻译问题》一文认为:“‘公司’的英语名称不是company(简缩词为Co.〕,就是corporation(简缩同为Corp。)。”该文作者或许是为强调company与corporation乃“公司”的两个首选对应词才这么说的,但这样做毕竟有以偏概全和误导读者之赚。大家知道,在表示“公司”“及“企业”〕之义时,英文中除了使用company和corporation,也不时使用“公司’’广义上的对应词,诸如firm,house,business,concern,combine,Partnership,con1plex,group,consortium,establishment,venture,conglomerate,multinational,transnational等。就是在专有公司名称中,“公司”也决非只有company与corporation之说,lines,agency等也是名正言顺的“公司”,有时甚至是前老所不能替代的“公司”。具体说。

1.line(s):(轮船、航空、航运等)公司。例如:AtlanticContainerLine大西洋集装箱海运公司。HawaiianAirLines,夏威夷航空公司2.agency:公司,代理行。例如:

TheAustinAdvertisingAgency奥斯汀广告公司ChinaOceanShippingAgency中国外轮代理公司3.store(s)百货公司。例如:

GreatUniversalStore大世界百货公司(英)

TescoStores(Holdings)坦斯科百货公司(英〕4.associates(联合)公司。例如:

BritishNuclearAssociates英国核子联合公司

SubseaEquipmentAssociatesLtd.海底设备联合有限公司(英、法、美合办)5.system(广播、航空等)公司。例如:

MutualBroadcastingSystem相互广播公司(莫)MalaysianAirlineSystem.马来西亚航空公司

6.office:公司,多与head,homebranch等同连用。例如。

7.service(s):(服务)公司。例如:

此外,exchange,center等词在特定的上下文中也可转义表示“公司”。例如:AmericanManufacturersForeignCreditInsuranceExchange美国制造商出口信用保险公司

Binks(Shanghai)engineeringExhibitionCenter,Ltd.宾克斯(上海)涂装工程设备展示有限公司

值得一提的是,不仅“公司”的表达法多种多样,就是一些特定的公司往往也不止一种说法,例如,“联合公司”除了associates之说,另外还有以下各灵活表达法。1.ConsolidatedcoalCompany联合煤炭公司(美)2.UnitedAircraftCorporation联合飞机公司(美)

3.AlliedFoodIndustryCo.联合食品工业公司(新加坡)4.IntegratedoilCompany联合石油公司

5.FederatedDepartmentStores联合百货公司

6.UnionCarbideCoronation联合碳化合物公司(美)

7。AssociatedBritishPlectraCorporation英国联合影业公司

8.ChinaAgriculturalMachineryImportandExportJointCompany中国农业机械进出口联合公司

(二)、轻言习惯的问题

--“保险公司”并非都叫‘insurancecompany’

《实用翻译教程》一书中有这样几句话:“其次,特定的企业也会有自己用词的习惯,久而久之便成了行规,最典型的是`保险公司’,无论哪个国家,也无论规模大小,都叫“insurancecompany’”,(刘季春,1996:204)《教程》作者是在讲述company与corporation的用法区别时说这段话的,其言外之意是说,“保险公司”的“公司”只能用company而不能使用corporation,因为习惯使然,但事实并非如此,笔茬在《英汉对外贸易词典》第464和465两页上就见到了数家InsuranceCorporation。如:

ExportCreditInsl1ranceCorporation出口信贷保险公司(加〕由此看来,“保险公司’,之“公司”可以是company,也可以是corporation,还可以是exchange,据查,office与concern也可与Insurance连用而表示“保险公司”。值得注意的是,“保险公司”中的“保险”二字也不止insurance一说,有例为证。1.DevelopmentunderwritingLtd.开发保险公司(三)、似是而非的问题“office”非“支公司”《“总公司”的几种常见英译法》说:“在‘总公司’,‘分公司’或‘支公司’同时出现在一句中时,与‘总公司’(corporation)相对的只能是branch和office了。前者作‘分公司’解,后者作‘支公司’解”。(胡仲胤,1993:57)在我国,认为office就是天经地义的‘支公司’的人或许不在少数。实践中,“支公司”也确有译作office的(e.g.中国丝绸进出口总公司广东省分公司汕头市支公司,ChinaNationalSilklmp.&Exp.Corp.GuangdongBranchShantouOffice)。可有趣的是,笔者在上千家英文公司名称中竟未找到一家将corporation和office同用于口语并分别表示“总公司”和“支公司”的。自己因此猜想这是否意味着在公司名称中汉英用词习惯有别了或者我们对office-词的理解有讹?带着后一个问题,笔者查询了部分英义工具书,总的看法是:office常作business解,有时也作concern和complex的同义词。而business有这么一种定义,aperson,partnership,orcorporationengagedincommerce,manufacturing,oraservice(Webster‘sEncyclopediaUnabridgedDictionaryoftheEnglishLanguage,UpdatedRevisedDeluxeEdition,P.283),由此定义不难看出,office无疑可以指从事商业或生产的corporation。因此,主观地把office与corporation对立起来的做法是欠妥的。其次,从以下几个同组的搭配及所表达的内涵中也不难得出office是“公司”而非“支公司”’的结论-headoffice:总公司;homeoffice:国内总公司;branchoffice,分公司;insuranceoffice:保险公司。(四)、省译的问题“实业”、“开发”等字眼并非可以随意省译

在汉英公司名称中,“公司”有时可以省译;在实践中,“总公司”之“总”字也时有所省,另外,有的同志又主张省译“实业”“开发”和“工贸”等字眼,因为“实在找不到可以表明“实业”的字眼”,但有哪一家锐意进取的公司不想开发新产品?“在英语中找不到合适的对等词。”(丁振祺1989:37)笔者以为,在公司名称的翻译上,当省则省,能省才省,切忌动辄乱省,否则名将不“明”(即难以表明公司的规模、隶属关系、经营范围、公司性质等信息)。例如,如果可以将“珠海特区发展实业公司”中的“发展”、“实业”“公司”等字眼全部省去,‘`译名”岂不成了“珠海特区”?!当然,“实业公司”“工贸公司”等究竟如何翻译才既忠买又通顺,倒值得进一步探讨。比如,“实业公司”目前至少有五种译文,其中间为佳译或是否还有其它妙译则有待定论和实践的检验。1。太平洋实业公司PacificIndustries

--以“General”译“总公司”之“总”并非“显然不妥”

由于general可作“通用”“一般用途”解,译界有的同志便认为,“显然,用General表示‘总’字不妥”。笔者以为,用general表示"总”字不仅无可厚非,而且易与国际接轨。君不见,世界上不少著名公司就是使用general来表示其“龙头”之义的吗?例如:GeneralTransportCompany运输总公司(英)

GeneralAmericanTransportationCorp.美国运输总公司

CentralOiICompany石油总公司(美)

其实,general作“总”解在法语公司名称中也可得到佐证,因为在法语总公司名称中,除了用universelle和centrale表示“总”外,也经常使用generale表达同一意思。例如。CompagnieGeneralelntercambi贸易总公司(意)

CompagnleGeneraiedeBrasserie啤酒总公司(法)

CompagnieGeneraledesMateriauxAtomiques棱燃料总公司(法)

公司名称的翻译颇为复杂。本文对现有相关文献中某些观点提出商榷意见,旨在疑义相与析;文章行文时辅以较多实例,意在以‘例”服人,但愿此二目的能有所实现。

英语中表示工厂的词更多,现搜集如下:

factory指能成批生产成品或商品的地方或单位,用的最多。

plant多指重工业或军事工企业,也可指自动化、电子、冶炼和机械厂。

(machinery(plant)机械厂,machinetoolplant机床厂,power(plant)电厂)works多指有自己一套完整工序的轻化工厂、车辆、制造及钢铁厂等,工序常露天操作。(ironworks钢铁厂,glassworks玻璃厂)mill轻工业方面的厂,棉纺厂。

(cottonmill棉纺厂,textilemill纺织厂,papermill造纸厂,sawmill锯木厂,steelmill钢厂,coffeemill咖啡制粉厂)refinery精练、提炼、精制、冶炼厂、制糖厂。foundry翻砂厂,铸工厂,玻璃厂,铸造厂。

house通常前加一字首,用来表示较小的工厂或手工作坊,如啤酒、印刷。yard露天的工厂,作坊,常前加字首构成复合词。(shipyard造船厂)

studio摄影棚,制片厂,录音棚及像馆。

brewery啤酒厂,酿酒厂(生物发酵酿制)。

distillery酒厂,蒸馏厂,酿造厂(添加化学制剂、催化剂)。tannery制革厂,硝革厂,鞣革厂。bakery糕饼厂。printery印刷厂。cannery罐头食品厂。filature缫丝厂。mine矿山厂。

manufacturer制造类厂。mint制币厂。

商务报告功能多样,种类繁多,且有不同的名称。比如汉语中的总结、汇报等。英文中的报告也有多种别称,如projectsummary、productanalysis、feasibilitystudy等,不过一般

统称为Report。需要注意的是,建议书也是英文商务写作中常见的一种文体,不过可以将其视为报告类文书之一,但它与其他报告相比有其自身的特点,因此在英文中常使用一个特定的名称“Proposal”来界定这类文书。根据报告的书写形式,商务报告可分为简式报告和正式报告两种。一般来说,内容单一,篇幅较短的报告宜采用简式报告形式;内容较为详细、论题较为重要、涉及面较广、要求又比较严格的报告宜采用正式报告形式。根据报告的功能,商务报告可分为:日常报告、调查报告、可行性报告、建议报告和商务旅行报告。其中,应用最广的是日常报告、调查报告和可行性报告。

合同英语属于庄重文体(thefrozenstyle),是各种英语文体中正式程度最高的一种。总体来说,这种正式性体现在内容的专业性、语言的严谨性和结构的完整性等方面。分类与结构

按照格式的繁简程度的不同,国际商务合同可以采取正式合同(Contract)、协议书

(Agreement)、确认书(Confirmation)、备忘录(Memorandum)、定单(Order)等书面形式。在合同签订和履行过程中,当事人之间往来的信函、电子邮件、电报等也是合同的组成部分,同样具有一定的法律效力。但是,为了顺利、准确无误地完成合同的履行,保护当事人各方的合法权益,所有商业往来应以合同、协议书和确认书的订立为前提和基础。

从结构上看,国际商务合同一般包含如下四个部分,具体说明如下:(1)合同名称(Title):即合同标题,表明合同的内容和性质。

5.Thepartiesheretoshall,firstofall,settleanydisputearisingfromorinconnectionwiththecontractbyfriendlynegotiations.Shouldsuchnegotiationsfail,suchdisputemaybereferredtothePeople"sCourthavingjurisdictiononsuchdisputeforsettlementintheabsenceofanyarbitrationclauseinthedisputedcontractorindefaultofagreementreachedaftersuchdisputeoccurs.

6.TheparticipantsintheJointVentureshallcommencediscussionwithregardtotheextensionoftheperiodofexistenceoftheVentureandintheeventoftheiragreeinguponsuchextension,theyshallrecordsuchagreementinawrittendocumentsignedbyallofthemnotlaterthanthreeyearspriortotheexpiryofthecurrentperiod.

7.Theformationofthiscontract,itsvalidity,interpretation,executionandsettlementofthedisputesshallbegovernedbyrelatedlawsofthePeoplesRepublicofChina.

8.OntheFOBbasis,theBuyershallbookshippingspaceinaccordancewiththedateofshipmentspecifiedinthecontract.

9.IncasetheContractterminatesprematurely,theContractAppendicesshalllikewiseterminate.

10.Intheeventofanylosscausedbythedelayinthedelivery,theRepresentativecanclaimacompensationfromtheManufacturerwithacertificateanddetailedlistregisteredbytheadministrationauthoritiesoftheRepresentativessite.

17.Incaseonepartyfailstocarryoutthecontract,theotherpartyisentitledtocancel
